Gi Yoon-Huang, MD

Dr. Yoon-Huang is a board certified, fellowship trained pediatric ophthalmologist. She specializes in pediatric eye diseases including pediatric and adult strabismus, amblyopia, retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric cataracts and pediatric oculoplastic disorders such as congenital ptosis, hemangioma, dermoid, and congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction.

Dr. Yoon-Huang received her B.A. from Duke University and her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She practiced comprehensive ophthalmology for two years and then furthered her training at Washington University in St. Louis and its affiliate, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she completed her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology.

Prior to her move to Boston University Eye Associates, Dr. Yoon-Huang practiced at Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Associates in Providence, RI. She also instructed the ophthalmology residents at Brown University.

Dr. Yoon-Huang is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Jennifer Lambert, CO

Ms. Lambert is a certified Orthoptist. She treats and manages patients with disorders of binocular vision, including childhood and adult strabismus and amblyopia. Ms. Lambert’s clinical interests include ocular findings of neurological disease. She is also a staff member in the department of Ophthalmology at Boston Medical Center and a clinical instructor at Boston University School of Medicine.

Ms. Lambert graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She went on to complete her orthoptic training at Greater Baltimore Center and Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. She is board certified by the American Orthoptic Council and is active in many organizations, including the American Associate of Certified Orthoptist and the American Associates for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus

Steven Ness, MD

Dr. Ness’ clinical interests include the medical and surgical therapy of diabetic eye disease, age related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, and retinal detachment.

Dr. Ness is a board certified ophthalmologist and a Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon. After graduating summa cum laude from University of Maryland School of Medicine, he completed his internship at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He continued his training at Boston Medical Center with a three year ophthalmology residency followed by a two year fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery. He currently is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and a staff member at the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital.

Babak Eliassi-Rad, MD

Dr. Eliassi-Rad is a comprehensive and glaucoma specialist. His interests are in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care.

Dr. Eliassi-Rad obtained his bachelors degree and medical degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his ophthalmology residency from Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He furthered his education by completing a fellowship in glaucoma at Kresge Eye Institute.

In addition, he is the director of glaucoma service and an assistant professor at Boston University School of Medicine. He is board certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Glaucoma Society.

David Moverman, MD

Dr. Moverman specializes in cataract surgery including the use of the newest presbyopia correcting lenses, which improves reading and distance vision, as well as the astigmatism correcting lenses. He has provided comprehensive ophthalmology care to patients of all ages for the past 20 years with Boston University Eye Associates. During this time, as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine, he has trained generations of eye surgeons from all 3 major medical centers in the Boston area.

Dr. Moverman graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He then received his medical education from Boston University School of Medicine. After completing his ophthalmology residency at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Dr. Moverman went on to continue his education with a fellowship in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Goldschleger Eye Institute/Sheba Medical Center (Tel Aviv University) in Israel.

Wuqaas Munir, MD

Dr. Munir specializes in laser vision correction (LASIK), corneal transplantation including Descemets Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK), inflammation and infection of the eye and cataract surgery.

He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After completing his ophthalmology residency as chief resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago, he completed a cornea fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, Florida. In 2006 he joined Boston University Eye Associates. In addition Dr. Munir serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and the director of the Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery service at Boston University School of Medicine.
