The cornea is the clear window into the eye which aids in focusing light for clear vision. Abnormalities can occur that affect the clarity of the window and this can result in abnormalities in vision.

The cornea service at Boston University Eye Associates specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disorders including corneal infections and ulcers, keratoconus, Fuchs dystrophy, and other problems affecting all aspects of the cornea.  The cornea service likewise performs surgical procedures such as Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK), corneal transplantation, refractive surgery, and pterygium excision among a variety of techniques.  Using advanced diagnostic tools, we are fully equipped to care for all corneal and eye problems.
